Appeals
How to dispute a moderation warning, suspension, or ban on CHOOZE.
Last updated: March 30, 2026
How appeals work
Appeals are handled by email. There is no dedicated appeals portal or automated ticket system. Send your appeal to support@updates.chooze.dev with the subject line:
CHOOZE Appeal — [your username]
CHOOZE staff will review your appeal and follow up. Reversal is not guaranteed, but every appeal with meaningful context is read.
What Can Be Appealed
You can submit an appeal if you received one of the following moderation actions and believe it was applied incorrectly:
- A formal warning on your account
- A temporary suspension
- A permanent ban
- Content removal you believe was a mistake
If you are unsure what action was taken, include your username and a description of what you experienced and staff will look into it.
How to Submit an Appeal
Send an email to:
support@updates.chooze.dev
Use the subject line: CHOOZE Appeal — [your username]
This format helps staff locate the correct account and route your email to the right review queue.
What to Include in Your Appeal
A clear, complete appeal helps staff review your case accurately. Include:
- Your CHOOZE username
- The specific action taken (warning, suspension, ban, or content removal)
- The content or account affected, if relevant
- Why you believe the action was incorrect
- Any context or screenshots that support your position
You do not need to be aggressive or urgent in your appeal. A clear factual explanation is more useful than anything else.
What Happens After You Submit
Once your appeal email is received, a member of the CHOOZE team will review the action, the relevant content or account history, and any context you provided.
CHOOZE will follow up by email. There is no automated SLA. Response time depends on the volume of appeals and the complexity of the case. Urgent safety-related situations are treated as higher priority.
Possible outcomes include: upholding the original decision, modifying the action, or reversing it. Not every appeal results in reversal, but CHOOZE may re-review decisions when meaningful new context is provided.
