Terms of Service

The rules governing your use of CHOOZE and your rights as a user.

  • Moderation rights: CHOOZE can warn, suspend, ban, or remove content — with or without a user report.
  • Appeals: You can dispute moderation decisions by emailing support. Reversal is not guaranteed.

1. Acceptance of These Terms

By creating an account, accessing CHOOZE, or using its features, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

CHOOZE has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Users must agree to these Terms and our Community Guidelines before accessing public user-generated content in the app.

2. What CHOOZE Is

CHOOZE is a social participation platform where people can create and interact with arenas, posts, showdowns, comments, follows, likes, saves, and notifications. CHOOZE includes moderation, reporting, and safety systems intended to protect the community and the product.

3. Eligibility and Account Responsibilities

You may use CHOOZE only if you can legally form a binding agreement under the laws that apply to you.

You are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate account information
  • Maintaining the security of your account
  • All activity that occurs under your account
  • Complying with these Terms, our Community Guidelines, and applicable law

You may not:

  • Impersonate another person, brand, or organization
  • Share an account in a way that misleads others about who is posting
  • Create accounts for abusive, deceptive, or manipulative purposes

4. User Content

You retain ownership of the content you create and submit to CHOOZE, including arenas, posts, showdown submissions, comments, profile fields, and related media.

By posting content to CHOOZE, you grant CHOOZE a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, distribute, and adapt that content only as needed to operate, improve, secure, and promote the service.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights needed to post the content you upload and share.

5. Acceptable Use

You may not use CHOOZE to:

  • Harass, threaten, abuse, or target other people
  • Post hateful, discriminatory, or extremist content
  • Post sexual exploitation, non-consensual sexual content, or child sexual abuse material
  • Post graphic violence, gore, or content intended to glorify harm
  • Promote illegal activity or dangerous conduct
  • Spam, scam, phish, or manipulate engagement
  • Impersonate others or misrepresent affiliation
  • Violate privacy, including by sharing private or identifying information without authorization
  • Interfere with the app, its systems, or other users’ access to the service

6. Reporting, Moderation, and Enforcement

CHOOZE may review content, profiles, interactions, and reports to enforce these Terms and the Community Guidelines. CHOOZE reviews reported objectionable content and abusive accounts within 24 hours and may remove violating content or permanently ban repeat or severe offenders. CHOOZE may take action including:

  • Removing content
  • Limiting visibility
  • Issuing warnings
  • Suspending accounts temporarily
  • Banning accounts permanently
  • Preserving moderation and audit records related to enforcement

CHOOZE may take action whether or not a violation is reported by another user.

7. Support, Appeals, and Enforcement Follow-Up

If you believe moderation action was taken in error, you may contact CHOOZE support and request review. CHOOZE may ask for account details, usernames, links, screenshots, or additional context needed to evaluate the request.

Submitting an appeal does not guarantee reversal of a moderation decision.

8. Account Deletion and Termination

You may request deletion of your CHOOZE account through the in-app deletion path or through the support contact path when applicable.

CHOOZE may suspend or terminate access to the service if:

  • You violate these Terms or the Community Guidelines
  • Your behavior creates safety, legal, or operational risk
  • CHOOZE is required to do so by law or platform policy

Certain records may be retained after deletion or termination when reasonably necessary for legal compliance, fraud prevention, abuse prevention, dispute resolution, or moderation history.

9. Availability and Changes

CHOOZE may change, pause, or discontinue parts of the service at any time. Features may evolve as the app grows, including social, moderation, support, and discovery features. CHOOZE is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the maximum extent permitted by law.

10. Third-Party Services

CHOOZE relies on third-party services and infrastructure, including services for authentication, hosting, analytics, diagnostics, notifications, and operational communications. CHOOZE is not responsible for outages or failures caused solely by those third-party providers.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CHOOZE and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the service. If applicable law does not allow some of these limitations, they apply only to the extent permitted by law.
